Forest and Fauna:

From a strategic point of view, agro forestry is an area that has great potential to enable the forest sector to shift to a more climate friendly format. This is because agro forestry is an activity that is capable of combining carbon sequestration with food production – For example, tall canopy and fast-growing fruit trees. It is possible to get an adoption rate of at least 60% that increases with subsequent project realizations.

Fauna:

Kumbo being the grassland has a few species of animals that survive and do well. These include monkeys that are mainly found in the wild forests around Nkuv, antelopes, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, cows, horses, sheep, donkeys and pigs. However, antelopes had long disappeared due to the massive and unregulated hunting. The other species that highly need protection today are the guinea pigs.
